When I was first diagnosed with ADHD in 2021, I was deeply inspired and empowered by several ADHD Advocates and creators on social media. I had no idea where to turn and the ADHD community online really stepped up and helped me learn so much about myself - so much that it led me to build my own community, which is now My Lady ADHD.

It’s so important for ADHDers to find community and each of these Advocates below has helped shape the way that I experience my ADHD symptoms. I highly recommend that you follow each of these beautiful people.

Becca King

ADHD Dietician & ADHD Creator

After my ADHD diagnosis, I discovered a little-known fact that ADHD commonly overlaps with eating disorders. If you have ADHD and your relationship with food is sort of rocky, you are certainly not alone. Part of why we struggle so much with food is because of our ADHD traits like impulsivity and executive function deficits. One of the first resources that I ran across was ADHD Dietician, Becca King. Becca helps adults with ADHD who are struggling with disordered eating, body image issues, and chronic dieting. She was one of the very first guests that I HAD TO HAVE on my podcast and is a real treasure to the ADHD community. Becca teaches ADHDers how to make peace with food and feel empowered. Her posts are funny, relatable, and educational - centered around ADHD nutrition on Instagram – which is where I discovered her at the start of my own ADHD journey.

Patricia Sung

ADHD Coach and Host of Motherhood in ADHD Podcast

Being a mom is hard. Being a mom with ADHD can feel hopeless at times. I had my daughter back in 2009, many many years before being diagnosed with ADHD. I just flat-out thought I was losing my mind most of the time as a parent. I didn’t see other moms struggling in the same way that I was. If you’re a mama with ADHD, you need someone like Patricia Sung in your back pocket. Patricia is an ADHD coach, speaker, and host of the popular podcast Motherhood in ADHD. She helps moms with ADHD rise above the overwhelm, take control of their time, and build a life they love – all while working WITH your ADHD brain and not against it. Patricia offers courses, coaching, and retreats that all help moms. 😊

Ellie Midds

Autistic & ADHD Activist, Writer, Consultant, Speaker & Creator

Ellie Midds is one of my favorite new-to-me “finds” in social media land. I actually discovered her on Linkedin – where she was recently accepted into the prestigious LinkedIn Creator Accelerator program. Ellie was diagnosed right around the same time that I was; so she’s relatively new to the ADHD/Autism world. She has a captivating personality and speaks loudly for neurodivergent brains and I respect her madly for the work that she’s doing in this community. Please follow her.

Izzie Chea

Dominican-Mexican-American creative, educator, storyteller, and mental health advocate

Izzie Chea was diagnosed with ADHD at 35 years of age and quickly added “mental health advocate” to her job title. I couldn’t be happier to call Izzie one of my friends and supporters in the ADHD community. Izzie is relatable, honest, and uplifting on social media. Outside of ADHD content, Izzie operates a highly successful YouTube channel providing engaging piano lessons. She has so many wonderful projects in the works for the ADHD community – you can check her out HERE.

Jesse J. Anderson

Host of ADHD Nerds Podcast, Writer, ADHD Advocate, Speaker

The first time I read one of Jesse J. Anderson’s tweets on Twitter, I laughed so hard I cried - which admittedly, isn’t that hard for me to do… but still. I quickly became a big fan and eventually a good friend of Jesse’s. His content is funny, REAL, and so incredibly validating for someone with ADHD. Jesse has so many projects that even as his friend, I have a hard time keeping up. He is a writer, speaker, YouTube creator, and runs quite possibly the largest newsletter for ADHDers called Extra Focus - you can subscribe to that newsletter HERE. (highly recommend)

Nicole Bulsara is hands-down one of my favorite ADHD Coaches. I recommend her services often to other ADHDers because I just LIKE her. She is an online group coaching facilitator and on top of helping so many ADHDers, she creates informative, clever, and very often FUNNY content on Instagram. I’ve personally learned so much about my ADHD brain through her content. Nicole is a hands-down MUST FOLLOW.
